History

Introduction to the Team

According the BBC website, Connie joined MI5 as a secretary when she was 19 in 1963. She was first seen in episode 2 of Series 6, brought in as a regular female lead character to replace Ruth. Her back story is that she began working for MI5 as a secretary when she was 19 and is an old colleague of Harry Pearce. She has now retired from MI5 and living as the caretaker of a secret former nuclear bunker with biological/chemical weapons testing pods, whom Harry visits in order to use these pods as private interrogation rooms. She is instrumental in assisting the Team using her technical skills and tradecraft.

Betrayal and Departure

In the seventh episode of series seven, Connie is revealed to be a double agent working for the Russians. She attempts to frame Harry Pearce and kills Ben Kaplan using the underwiring of her bra to slice his throat and is arrested, trying to escape, by Ros.

She is later snatched during a section D "black op" when the team hear that a large scale terror operation, codenamed "Tiresias", is being run by the Russians to launch a nuclear assault on London using portable devices. Harry Pearce and the team promise that if she helps them she can leave the country and disappear for good.

After Ros and Lucas manage to get her across London using underground tunnels, Connie demands that the bomb is brought to her; she removes the radioisotopes, preventing a nuclear explosion but the conventional detonator explodes in her face, killing her instantly.
